The St. Louis construction industry -- including builders, engineering and architectural companies -- raised $405,000 for St. Louis Children’s Hospital during KIDstruction Week 2016, exceeding expectations by $130,000.
“Each year in August, our industry comes together in a campaign to support St. Louis Children’s Hospital,” says Jeff Faust, Principal at Environmental Consultants, LLC, and chairman of KIDstruction Week 2016. “And every year, we demonstrate our dedication to advancing this non-profit hospital’s work of protecting the health and well-being of children and families in the St. Louis region. We can point to the more than $1 million raised since the first KIDstruction Week in 2011 as solid proof that, together, our industry is a Guardian of Childhood.”
Of the 152 participating companies, 47 matched their employees’ gifts dollar-for-dollar or made a corporate donation of $10,000 or more. KIDstruction Week proceeds support the hospital’s pediatric neuro-critical care program, Healthy Kids Express mobile health program, art therapy and many other services necessary to help children heal from illness and enjoy healthy childhoods.
