This program is designed to offer the primary care provider clinical approaches to problems common in pediatric and adolescent practice. It will explore current recommendations in the management of pediatric tubes and tonsils, visual ocular issues by age, seizure management, chest pain, hip dysplasia, transgendered youth, and pediatric gastroenterology issues. The intended result of this activity is increased knowledge, and competence.
This video-guided program includes instruction and hands on practice in infant, child and adult CPR, first aid for choking and the use of AEDs when appropriate. Course facilitators use the American Heart Association material. Course includes a 65-page student manual.
Parents and expectant parents can attend this class to learn hands-on massage techniques that promote relaxation and help develop a stronger bond with their infant, newborns through age 15 months.
