Two other lodging options for certain families are the Ronald McDonald House and HavenHouse.
For families of children undergoing medical procedures, testing or treatment for a serious illness, accommodations may also be available at Ronald McDonald House, a home away from home. The only requirement for staying at Ronald McDonald House is that families live outside a 50-mile radius from the hospital; reservations are dependent on room availability. To arrange a stay, call Social Services at 314.454.6101 no sooner than three days prior to your child’s admission or appointment. Social Services will take down all necessary information and forward it to Ronald McDonald House. Social Services office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
HavenHouse is a non-profit that offers hotel quality housing at reduced rates for patients and their families traveling to St. Louis for medical care. HavenHouse offers rates starting as low as $30/ night for the entire family, which include daily hot meals, long distance phone service and transportation to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
