The speaker for the March brain tumor support group is Jill Isenberg. PhD, Department of Psychology - St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Title: The impact of brain tumors and their treatment on the development of thinking and learning skills.
Objective 1: Participants will be able to identify potential areas of cognitive deficit among children/adolescents treated for brain tumors.
Objective 2: Participants will be able to identify potential interventions to address cognitive deficits among children/adolescents treated for brain tumors.

11:00 AM to 11:45 AM - Parent Educational session. Teen Patient Support Group. Art therapy activity stations for younger patients and siblings.
11:45 AM to 12:15 PM - Lunch
12:15 PM to 1:00 PM - Parent Support group. Teen Session: "What's going on in there? How having a brain effects your thinking and learning - learn memory strategies, tricks for improving attention and how to stay organized. Supervised activity for younger patients and siblings.

Families are welcome to attend part or the entire program. Throughout the event, supervised activities will be provided for patients and their siblings. Door prizes for attendees, FREE parking and more!
