For some children a pre-surgery orientation may reduce anxieties he or she may have about surgery by familiarizing them with the Same Day Surgery suite and procedures and allowing them to ask questions. For parents, the orientation and tour provides information on how to be involved in your child’s care as well as general information on surgery procedures.
Presented by pediatric nurses and/or child life specialists, the orientation offers many opportunities to answer any questions you or your child may have.
