The physicians at St. Louis Children’s Hospital treat patients from all over the world. The following information is for international patients interested in seeking care with us.
To obtain a referral to a physician at St. Louis Children's Hospital, we will need a referral letter from the potential patient's physician in addition to the child's medical information that includes the complete medical record, radiographs, and all tests completed. We also will need complete and clear contact information inlcuding the child's name, date of birth, parent's names, address, telephone number(s) and email address. Kindly send the records and contact information in English to the address below. Once the records are received, a physician will review them and determine if we can accept the patient here.
Please understand that the physicians will only review the information with the intent of determing whether or not the child could be accepted as a patient at St. Louis Children's Hospital. Our physicians cannot provide second opinions or make medical recommendations based solely on record reviews without examining the patient in person.
If a physician deems that a child could be a patient at St. Louis Children's Hospital, each department has a unique set of additional steps for you to take during the referral process. Some of these steps might include things ranging from filling out additional screening forms to communicating directly with the child's referring or treating physician.
Evaluation and treatment at the hospital can have a sizeable fee. Please note that full payment will be expected at the time of service. You would be responsible for making all travel arrangements and would be responsible for the associated costs.
