Phillip Tarr, MD
, Division Director
Robert Heuckeroth, MD, PhD
Dr. Heuckeroth was born in Northhampton, Massachusetts and graduated from the University of Maryland, and completed both his medical degree and PhD studies at Washington University School of Medicine. He trained in pediatrics and gastroenterology at St. Louis Children's Hospital. Dr. Heuckeroth is board-certified in pediatrics and board-eligible in pediatric gastroenterology. He is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, and the American Gastroenterological Association, a Markey Trust Scholar and the first recipient of the Young Investigator Award from the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition. His research involves studies of the nervous system within the intestine and colon.
Lori Holtz, MD
James P. Keating, MD
Dr. Keating was born in Pittsburgh. He graduated from Harvard University and completed his medical degree studies at Harvard Medical School. After pediatric training at Boston City Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, he joined the faculty of St. Louis Children's Hospital. He served as director of gastroenterology and nutrition from 1971 until 1992, and as the director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit from 1980 until 1992. He has been director of the Pediatric Residency Program since 1974, and developed a new program -- the Division of Medical Diagnostics -- in 1992. He is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatrics' subsection of Pediatric Gastroenterology. He is a member of many societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Gastroenterological Association.

Clinical Director
Dr. Rothbaum received his bachelor's degree from Brown University and his medical degree from the University of Chicago Medical School. He trained in pediatrics at St. Louis Children's Hospital and in a pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at Children's Hospital of Cincinnati. He is a member of the Academy of Pediatrics, NASPGN, and the American Gastroenterological Association. He is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatrics' subsection of Pediatric Gastroenterology. Between 1983 to 1992, he served as director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center of St. Louis Children's Hospital and then became the clinical director of the Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition. As clinical director, Dr. Rothbaum oversees the outpatient clinic, ambulatory procedure center and the gastroenterology office. His research interests include the gastrointestinal and nutritional manifestations of cystic fibrosis as well as medical and psychophysiologic management of children with inflammatory bowel disease. With Dr. Michael Debaun, Dr. Rothbaum recently initiated an international registry of patients and families with Shwachman-Diamond syndrome.
