The Seating and Positioning Clinic provides a child and his or her parents with an evaluation performed by an Occupational Therapist, a Physical Therapist, and a wheelchair vendor within the family’s insurance network.
The evaluation includes an assessment of:
- Posture
- Muscle tone
- Head and trunk control
- Joint limitations
- Precautions
- Skin integrity
Propulsion options of dependent, manual, and/or power mobility will be considered. Bathing, toileting, standing, and play positioning needs are also addressed through the Seating and Positioning Clinic.
