Nelly Gives Back
St. Louis Children's Hospital was recently the recipient of a generous grant from 4Sho4Kids, a non-profit foundation established by rapper Nelly and the St. Lunatics. 4Sho4Kids hosted a fundraising gala on October 27, 2002 where Nelly and the St. Lunatics continue to prove they haven’t forgotten where they call home. After an evening of jazz, salsa, and blues; and a special appearance by Nelly and the St. Lunatics; foundation director Chalena Mack presented a check for $25,000 to Jim Miller and Tammy Derrigan of St. Louis Children's Hospital. ... more

St. Louis Children’s Hospital Makes Child Magazine’s Top 10 List
Child magazine today announced the results of its exclusive survey to identify the top ten children’s hospitals in the country. St. Louis Children's Hospital ranked sixth on the 10 Best list. In addition, Child also ranked pediatric hospitals in three specialty areas, and Children’s Hospital placed fourth in neonatology/neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The comprehensive survey, whose results appear in the February 2003 issue of the magazine, was based on strict criteria and data compiled during Child’s extensive 9-month investigation. ... more
