St. Louis Children’s Hospital President Honored for Contribution to Children’s Health
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The Missouri Hospital Association has honored Lee F. Fetter, president and senior executive officer of St. Louis Children’s Hospital; Randall L. O’Donnell, Ph.D., president and chief executive officer of Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics in Kansas City; and Douglas A. Ries, FACHE, president and chief executive officer of SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center in St. Louis, with its Vision for Children award.
The awards were presented Thursday, Nov. 8, during a dinner ceremony at MHA’s 85th Annual Convention & Trade Show in Osage Beach, Mo.
“Vision for Children recognition acknowledges our pediatric hospitals’ commitment to world-class health services for Missouri’s children,” said Marc D. Smith, MHA president. “The efforts of these hospital leaders have profoundly contributed to the lives of the patients, families and communities they serve.”
The MHA Vision for Children award emphasizes the important, highly specialized care freestanding pediatric hospitals deliver to their communities. Awardees were selected for their service to pediatric care and adherence to the mission, vision and values of their respective hospitals.
The Missouri Hospital Association is a not-for-profit association in Jefferson City that represents 145 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers programs to educate the public about current health care issues.
