Prominent ears, also know as Dumbo ears, is when a child's ears project more than the normal distance from the head. The ear may lack an antihelical fold, have an obtuse scaphoconchal angle and deep conchal bowl. Children with prominent ears may benefit from a non-surgical procedure called ear molding.
