Message From the Director
We are very pleased to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of the pediatric orthopedics team at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Giving the best care to every child is our primary goal, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine have a close partnership in order to exceed expectations in healthcare. Patients from both the St. Louis area and around the globe choose to seek medical care with us because we are able to treat a broad spectrum of orthopedic conditions.
We are proud to say that Parents Magazine has ranked our division No. 3 in the nation.
Our team is leading the transformation of this specialized area with diagnostic breakthroughs, non-operative approaches, pioneering surgeries, sophisticated research and clinical trials. We strive to provide family-centered, individualized care for each child, and we work closely with all services of the hospital to meet the needs of the patient.
We are continuously expanding the practice to meet the growing needs of our patient population. Our team consists of orthopedic surgeons, non-operative sports medicine specialists, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, physical therapists, social workers and research assistants. The orthopedics staff of St. Louis Children’s Hospital, known globally as members of numerous national and international professional organizations, is ranked among the best regionally and nationally by St. Louis Magazine, America's Top Doctors and Best Doctors.
Last year the orthopedics department saw close to 15,000 patients in clinic and performed over 1,500 surgeries. We have expanded our primary practice at St. Louis Children’s Hospital to include an outpatient location in Chesterfield, Missouri.
