The Teen Outreach Program (TOP) is an evidence-based best practice program used by schools and communities to empower teens to lead successful lives and build strong communities. TOP concentrates on three essential goals: healthy behaviors, life skills, and sense of purpose.

TOP offers two options: in school - elective course OR integrated into existing course (health, social studies, freshman seminar, etc.); after-school - as part of an existing after-school offering OR stand-alone program.

Schools use TOP as a part of their tier 1 approach within response to intervention. Schools have found TOP effective as a transition tool for students entering high school. Participating schools craft additional components that relates to their community needs.
