Education and tips are available on how to adjust and properly fit your child’s bike helmet.

We will talk about how to make your home a safer place for your children. This service is perfect for parents with children beginning to crawl. Before your appointment, use this Home Safety Survey to understand the unique child proofing needs in your home.

Sleep Safety

Learn about best safe sleep practices for your child from birth to one year.  Information includes when to swaddle and how to correctly swaddle your baby, crib safety, and the importance of tummy time when baby is awake. Learn more about how you can prevent sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) by following safe sleep best practices for babies.

Car Safety

Do you have a safety routine to remind you to check the back seat of your car?  A simple change in your normal schedule can be enough to make you forget you’re still carrying precious cargo when you get out of your vehicle. Water Safety

Swimming pools, lakes, oceans, rivers and baths are all places kids love to play.  Knowing a few simple safety precautions for each body of water is essential. We offer easy tips for parents, babysitter checklists and water watcher tags – all to help adults keep kids safe.

Safety Stop Display

The safety stop display is a free service provided in the community. At this interactive display, a trained professional displays variety of car seats, helmets and home safety products to discuss with parents and other care providers the best ways to protect their children in the car, on a bike or in their own home and sleep environment. Up to four topics can be addressed with this interactive informational display:

Presentations

These 90 minute virtual presentations are intended for parents and include time for questions and answers. Offered for private groups by request only. Minimum enrollment is 6 and parent attendees must pre-register.

Child Passenger Safety Basics: Parents will learn about the proper use of car seats and seat belts in this interactive presentation provided by a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician.

Safe Sleep for Babies, 0-12 Months: Parents will learn important information to keep their babies, 0-12 months, safe during all sleep times. Information includes when to swaddle, how to correctly swaddle a baby, crib safety, and the importance of tummy time when baby is awake.
