Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia

Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) is a genetic disorder that is characterized by progressive weakness and spasticity (stiffness) of the legs. HSP is not a form of cerebral palsy although it may mimic the signs and symptoms of spastic diplegia. HSP may be classified as simple or complicated.
