2013 Pedal the Cause: October 5-6
Pedal the Cause is a city and community-wide fundraising bike challenge for riders of all ages and abilities. 100% of the proceeds stay in St. Louis to fund cancer research through the Children’s Discovery Institute at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and the Cancer Frontier Fund, an initiative of Barnes-Jewish Hospital that benefits the Siteman Cancer Center. The 2012 event on October 7, raised more than $2 million for cancer research!

There are a few things that you will instantly learn when meeting 9-year-old Ashley for the first time: her curls are natural, she loves playing soccer and her favorite singer is Taylor Swift. However, what you may not find out right away is that Ashley is a three-time cancer survivor.
