Perspectives in Pediatrics Conference
10th Annual Perspectives in Pediatrics Conference
April 21, 2016
Eric P. Newman Education Center, St. Louis, MO
St. Louis Children’s Hospital is proud to present our 10th Annual Perspectives in Pediatrics Conference on April 21, 2016. As a top-ranked children’s hospital we are continually striving to improve pediatric health care locally and across the country. The national spotlight for the past year has highlighted many inequities faced by minority youth, and the sad fact is many of the children and youth in our community face particularly steep challenges imposed by poverty, lack of access to quality education and health care, as well as racial discrimination. It is time for St. Louis Children's Hospital to step up and take an active role through our community programs and participation in other community initiatives to address these problems. This year’s conference will provide you with some insight into the challenges that children face, what is being done to address those challenges, and how we can participate in this work.
- Integrate hospital and community-based services across the pediatric lifespan.
- Promote acceptance and resiliency of youth and adolescent experiences to establish a healthy community.
- Create awareness of the impact of outside stressors and behaviors on children, adolescents, and their families.
