GRANDPARENTS WITH GIVING HEARTS

Rick and Carol Short, better known as Bop and Grandmama to their grandchildren, made a transformative impact as lead supporters of our inaugural Grandparents Campaign. With a generous $1 million matching gift for donations made in June 2024 in honor of grandparents or grandchildren, the Shorts helped inspire a wave of giving that raised nearly $2.2 million for St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation. Their extraordinary leadership not only helped the campaign exceed its first-year goal but also established it as an annual tradition to support the hospital’s most urgent needs.
