Announcing: Kohl’s Safety Street
Michelle Mitchell, from the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Child Health Advocacy and Outreach department recently accepted a donation of $114,511 from Kohl’s Department Stores. The gift represents a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Kohl’s Cares for Kids merchandise in area Kohl’s stores.  The funds will be used to deliver the Safety Street experience to more than 6,000 children in 24 locations in the St. Louis metro area in 2009.  In appreciation for this gift, Children’s Hospital has named the program “Kohl’s Safety Street” for the entirety of 2009.  Since 2000, Kohl’s has given more than $1 million to support a variety of programs and services at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.


Appreciate The World
Thanks to Appreciate the World for a $700 donation of proceeds from the sale of the Kids Chat God’s Spirit book.  The book’s authors Kristin Gembala and Patti Seacrist recently visited the hospital to make the donation, which will benefit the hospital’s sibling playroom.
