Volunteer “Food for Thought”

What’s on the Menu:

Initiated in January 2009, “Food for Thought” is a monthly event hosted by Volunteer Services and open to all volunteers. It will be scheduled for a different day of the week and time to reach a wider group of volunteers. The purpose is to connect volunteers, invite discussion, share information, and provide resources that enhance the volunteer experience. It is not designed to be a formal meeting.

Educational information will also be provided on topics affecting volunteers, such as communicating with patients and families, infection control, dealing with difficult situations, preparing for the Joint Commission visit, and more!

Why: To provide volunteers the opportunity to connect with other volunteers, receive continuing education to enhance their volunteer experience, to provide recognition, and sharing of stories, information, and resources.
