What is Healthy Kids at Play?
Healthy Kids at Play was a St. Louis Children’s Hospital community initiative that promoted the health and well being of children by:

• Creating safer places for children to play by building playgrounds and ballfields
• Integrating health programs and resources that encourage healthy behaviors
• Linking children to services

Healthy Kids at Play Neighborhoods
Fifteen communities throughout St. Louis City, St. Louis County and East St. Louis benefited from Healthy Kids at Play. Five communities were selected for each of three separate rounds of applications. Over 30 play spaces were developed including playgrounds and ball fields --along with health and wellness programs.
