St. Louis Children’s Hospital

The Young Friends Board was created in 2006 and consists of a diverse group of men and women passionate about having fun, meeting new people and helping a great cause…KIDS!

We spearhead Young Friends efforts that, to date have raised more than $25,000! Currently, our proceeds benefit the Clown Docs – a humor therapy program for patients and their families at St. Louis Children’s Hospital – so they could provide more than 700 hours of laughter. This contribution was made possible thanks to the hard work and dedication of our board members.

No prior experience is necessary but if you would like a little more information about board member responsibilities before you contact the Foundation office, here you go:

Young Friends Board Member Roles and Responsibilities:

• Be a Young Friends of St. Louis Children’s Hospital member and act as an ambassador in all aspects for St. Louis Children’s Hospital
• Attend board meetings and events on a consistent basis
• Assist Young Friends and Foundation staff in all aspects of fund raising and in carrying out the strategic plan of St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation
• Actively participate on at least one Young Friends committee per year
• Successfully complete the assigned duties and expectations for committee members
• Identify potential Young Friends Board members
• Personally contribute to St. Louis Children’s Hospital through an annual gift and engage family and friends to the hospital’s mission to do what’s right for kids

Please note: Young Friends Board members are asked to serve one two-year term. Two more two-year terms are available if mutually agreed upon by member and Foundation.
