Presentations are intended for parents and are 90 minutes in length, including time for questions and answers. Minimum enrollment is 10. There is no fee for these presentations; however attendees must pre-register. Email programs@bjc.org for more information or to schedule a private presentation for your group or organization.

Apples to Zucchini: Healthy Meals for Happy Kids: Parents will learn how to provide healthy meals and snacks for their families with the help of a registered dietitian. Topics include family mealtime, portion sizes made easy, stocking your pantry, milk vs. juice vs. soda, creative snack ideas and the importance of active play.
Beyond “Because I Said So”: Parents will learn the difference between punishment and discipline, discuss how to set limits, create rules and logical consequences, and find positive discipline techniques that will work for their family.
Diapers to Underpants: Parents will learn how to recognize when a child is ready to begin the toilet learning process, and discuss effective ways to help their children achieve this milestone.
Pediatric First Aid Basics: A review of pediatric first aid for parents, teachers and child care providers. A pediatric nurse will educate adults about safety issues, and how to handle accidental injuries.
Sleep: A to Zzzz: Parents will learn about the significance of sleep for children, discuss the importance of a bedtime routine and learn how to create and keep a routine that works for their family.
