Community Partnerships

St. Louis Children’s Hospital has partnerships with other community organizations and we offer programs in collaboration with each of these organizations. These programs are not available to private groups. Visit our online calendar for upcoming dates and times.

Saint Louis Zoo
First Aid Station:
Staffed by paramedics and EMTs from St. Louis Children’s Hospital, the Zoo’s first aid station is located near the Conservation Carousel at the northeast corner of the Zoo grounds. It features curtained-off exam areas as well as cots for patients overcome by heat or needing rest. It also serves as a lactation site for nursing mothers and as a place for lost children to reunite with their families.

Just Like You at the Zoo: Children and their parents will receive a game card and will visit various animals throughout the Zoo to play our "Just Like You at the Zoo" game. Collect a set of six stickers on this “hunt” and get a special prize!

Make Tracks for the Zoo: St. Louis Children's Hospital is the proud sponsor of this family-oriented run/walk held in Forest Park.  This fundraiser for the Zoo includes a 5K run/walk, half-mile and quarter-mile kids' races, and a one-mile fun run/walk.

Zoo Days: Join us every Thursday, April-October, to make a free first-aid kit to keep in your diaper bag or your child’s back pack! Our tent is located near the Conservation Carousel, outside the St. Louis Children’s Hospital First Aid Station.

The Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum
Safety Stop: We are proud to offer the same great services available at our hospital location, at our new satellite location at The Magic House.

Children’s Village Hospital at The Magic House
This interactive exhibit invites children to take on the role of healthcare workers or a parent, in a pretend hospital baby nursery complete with a nurses’ station, viewing window and rows of bassinets. The Children’s Village Hospital mimics the Family-Centered Care model used at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where doctors, nurses and parents all work together as partners to best meet the needs of the baby. The exhibit is located in the Children’s Village at The Magic House and was born as a collaboration between The Magic House and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Fitness First Fridays: Join us at The Magic House on the first Friday of every month!  St. Louis Children's Hospital is part of The Magic House's new program, Fitness First Fridays.  Families can stretch their muscles and their minds as they take the 1,000 step circuit through the museum touring hundreds of fun, educational exhibits and looking for "Fit Facts" filled with useful health and nutrition information.  Each month will feature a different fitness theme as well as special guests and activities to get families energized about getting fit.

The Humane Society of Missouri
Make Yourself and “Rover” Healthy All Over!: Kids ages 8-12 will have three hours of fun-filled activities to help them learn how to take care of themselves and their furry “best friend.” Topics include grooming, nutrition and exercise. A behind-the-scenes tour of the Humane Society Adoption Center and Vet Medical Center is included. (Kids do not need to have a pet to attend this exciting class.)
