Dear Schnucks Community Card Supporter,
On behalf of all the children and families we serve, we would like to thank you for your continued support through the Schnucks eScrip Community Card program. The funds we receive from your use of the card enable us to provide programs and purchase equipment to help our patients.
The latest use of these funds is to purchase the Freedom Concepts Discovery DCP-12 adaptive bicycle. This bike helps numerous children who have a wide variety of conditions including neurodevelopmental, neurological, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and sensory disorders. The benefits include increased range of motion and strength, sensory input, gross motor development, development of balance, equilibrium responses and coordination, and cardiovalscular endurance. From children with simple balance problems to more complex cases of cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Down syndrome, head injury, muscular dystrophy, and autism, this adaptive bicycle offers therapy and fun. With quick release mechanisms, the Discovery bike adapts easily from one rider to another, and is designed to provide excellent stability.
Many families benefit from the time and effort you take to use your Community Card when you shop at Schnucks. Our goal is to keep you updated several times a year on the success of this program, and share more information on how you have helped the children we serve.
