St. Louis Children's Hospital offers many tests and procedures without having to stay overnight in the hospital. After your primary care physician sends us a referral, you will be contacted about scheduling and given specific information about the procedure. We encourage you to ask questions.
Our outpatient services include:
Joe Buck Imaging Center (Radiology) - Provides a variety of imaging services including CT scans, MRIs, fluoroscopy and ultrasounds.
Ambulatory Procedure Center (APC) - One of the few pediatric centers in the country that provides moderate sedation to general anesthesia for children undergoing a variety of procedures.
Pharmacy - Customers may visit the the outpatient pharmacy on the first floor of the hospital or can order prescription refills online.
For your convenience, some procedures can be done at one of our offsite locations in the West County area and St. Charles. Ask your physician for more details.
Please have the following with you for every visit, including your first visit:
- Insurance Card (Private, Medicare or Medicaid)
- Pharmacy Card, if separate from Insurance Card
In addition, the patient's parent/guardian should bring a valid Government-issued Picture Identification (i.e. Driver's License, Passport, etc.).
Be prepared to show this information when visiting:
- Inpatient or Outpatient visit
- Hospital or emergency room
- Clinical laboratory
- A Doctor's office
- Pharmacy
