St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Purina believe that pets and people are better together. Purina has been a steadfast supporter of St. Louis Children’s since 1979, and Purina is committed to working alongside the hospital to advance the human-animal bond by bringing patients and pets together.

Purina’s support allows the Paws for Hope program to grow, increasing access to more pets in more locations, touching even more lives than ever, and allowing equitable access to pet therapy for all.

Purina Paws for Hope is a special program through the Center for Families at St. Louis Children’s. Pet therapy volunteers, in partnership with Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, offer affection, comfort, and stress relief to patients, families, and staff at St. Louis Children’s. These dogs are certified and evaluated by therapy dog organizations. Therapy dogs are trained to master certain skills and must have a calming temperament.
