Traci Carter is a Health Equity Champion and Program Manager at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where she directs maternal and child health initiatives focused on reducing disparities and improving outcomes for underserved families. With over two decades of experience in community health, she has led cross-sector collaborations that bring together healthcare systems, grassroots organizations, and policy leaders to develop culturally responsive programs that meet families where they are.

Respected as a connector and thought partner, Traci’s work spans local, regional, and national levels, where she advocates for equitable policies and builds sustainable partnerships that empower families and strengthen communities.


Chastity Perry Smith, MHRM - Supervisor

Chastity Perry Smith is a Program Supervisor of Community Health Workers with Raising St. Louis, bringing more than 15 years of experience in education and community engagement. With a background spanning career development, adult learning, and public health, she is deeply committed to advancing maternal health and wellness for women and families.

Dedicated to empowering others through access and awareness, Chastity helps families connect with the resources and support they need to thrive. Her passion for health equity extends beyond her role—she also promotes healthy living through community-based wellness initiatives.


Florence Chears-Lawrence, M.S.Ed - Supervisor

Florence Chears-Lawrence is a Program Supervisor of Community Health Educators with Raising St. Louis. With more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education, she is dedicated to promoting equitable access to quality learning, advocacy, and family support in underserved communities.

A lifelong educator and advocate, Florence’s work bridges early childhood development and community health, guiding families with culturally responsive care and educational strategies that strengthen early foundations. Her leadership reflects both compassion and excellence, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.
