ST. LOUIS (September 29, 2017) – The St. Louis construction industry -- including builders, engineering and architectural companies -- raised $405,000 for St. Louis Children’s Hospital during KIDstruction Week 2017. Of the 153 participating companies, 53 matched their employees’ gifts dollar-for-dollar or made a corporate donation of $10,000 or more. This year more than 2,500 trades workers and employees donated $1 for every hour worked during KIDstruction Week in August.
“As an industry, we have contributed almost $2 million since 2011 to key programs that make St. Louis Children’s Hospital a leader in pediatric healthcare,” says Jeff Faust, principal at Environmental Consultants, LLC, and chairman of KIDstruction Week 2017. “We continue to demonstrate our dedication to advancing this non-profit hospital’s work of protecting the health and well-being of children and families in the St. Louis region.”
KIDstruction Week proceeds support the hospital’s pediatric neuro-critical care program, Healthy Kids Express mobile health program, art therapy and many other services necessary to help children heal from illness and injury, and enjoy healthy childhoods.
