This month, St. Louis Children's Hospital (SLCH) launched a new advertising campaign, entitled “Childhood Interrupted.” The campaign is an extension of the successful 2016 campaign, and continuation of the theme “Guardians of Childhood.” The beautiful childhood images used in all of the still photography throughout the campaign feature real hospital patients.

“Nobody likes being interrupted – whether it’s in conversation, traffic or watching your favorite TV show. But imagine when the thing being interrupted is as precious as childhood” says Jackie Ferman, director of marketing at SLCH. “Whether it’s a chronic illness, a cancer diagnosis, or a sports injury – nothing should interrupt the magic of childhood, and it’s our mission as Guardians of Childhood to protect against these interruptions.”

Generous support from the community enables the hospital to provide superior care, technology and expertise. The campaign will invite the community to join the hospital in supporting transformational pediatric care.

The integrated campaign will be showcased through billboards, web, cinema, social media, and a series of :30-second television commercials. The campaign, created in partnership with advertising agency J. Walter Thompson Chicago, aims to remind parents and caregivers that Children’s offers the entire spectrum of care ranging from everyday illness, to serious and chronic disease.
