Memorial LogoOn April 1, pediatricians with Washington University Physicians in Illinois and St. Louis Children’s Hospital began providing coverage in Memorial’s two Emergency Departments as well as in the newborn nursery. In addition, Washington University neonatologists provide care at the Family Care Birthing centers at Memorial Belleville and Memorial East. 

Dr. Shawn O'Connor, a neonatologist with Washington University Physicians in Illinois, Inc., will serve as medical director of Memorial’s neonatology program.  He has worked with hospitals in the area, including St. Louis Children's Hospital and Missouri Baptist Medical Center.  Dr. O’Connor received his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine and is board-certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine and in pediatrics.

Dr. Jane Alyce Hunt, a Washington University pediatric hospitalist at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, will serve as medical director of the pediatric hospitalist service at Memorial.  She received her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine and is board-certified in pediatrics.
