The Teen Lounge is available for adolescents 12 and older. They can participate in planned activities, express themselves through arts and crafts or just take a break from the hospital routine.

Hours of Operations:

Monday – Friday 1:00pm–4:00pm and 5:00pm–8:00pm

Saturday/Sunday 1:00pm–4:00pm

What Is There to Do in the Teen Lounge?

Teens can participate in a variety of activities including:

  • Video games

  • Art and crafts (a large variety of art and craft projects rotate frequently)

  • Using computers

  • Playing card or board games with peers, visitors, and/or staff

  • Listening to music on our surround sound stereo system

  • Expressing yourself with graffiti art on the windows

  • Hanging out and enjoying the space

Can Siblings Visit the Teen Lounge?

  • Siblings and visitors ages 12 and older may visit the Teen Lounge if they are with the patient they are visiting.

  • Siblings of patients hospitalized in our intensive care units (NICU, PICU, and CICU) who are 12 years and older may visit the Teen Lounge on their own.

  • Siblings under 12 years may visit the Sibling Playroom.

What If a Patient Is Unable to Leave the Hospital Room?

  • If a patient is unable to visit the playroom, staff are happy to provide activities for the patient, family and visitors to use in the patient’s own room.
