Diabetes is a chronic disease that affects every aspect of a child’s life including academic performance, social interactions, and emotional well-being. It requires ongoing education, support and resources from a medical team. The successful self-management of diabetes is critical to the prevention of both short-term and life-threatening diabetes complications.
The Healthy Kids Express– Diabetes Program is the first mobile pediatric diabetes unit in the nation.
