Radiology Tests and Procedures

Whenever your child needs any form of imaging we make sure it is delivered as safely as possible and provide radiation doses that are targeted to your child’s age, weight and area of the body needing an image.

Call 314.454.5437 or email us to make an appointment.

The pediatric imaging and testing procedures available at St. Louis Children's Hospital are:

  • Imaging tests brochure
    Imaging Tests: What to Expect
    CT
  • CT Angiography
  • MRE
  • MRI
  • MRI Angiography
  • Ultrasound
    • Ultrasonography is a form of diagnostic imaging in which we use high frequency sound waves to create images inside the body. Using sound waves or echoes to create images eliminates the need for radiation for this kind of testing. Among many other studies in Ultrasound, our Sonographers can  perform Elastography imaging for liver stiffness and are using the only FDA approved contrast for ultrasound to interrogate liver and renal lesions.  We work closely with our Washington University physicians who specialize in pediatrics to keep on top of the newest technology. We are always looking for better ways to advance our imaging skills and knowledge to provide our kids with the best possible studies.
